Finding Opportunities During Quarantine
The COVID 19 pandemic is taking place and rapidly changing our lives. Concerts, sporting events, and any community gatherings are being canceled. We are facing a social isolation. This unexpected and unprecendent change creates stress, anxiety, and depression. We have almost no power to change world events (well, still have some of the power). However, we can definitely change our reaction to this.
I have a list of what can be done to overcome an anxiety and spend the time in isolation productively. Here is the list of what can be done:
- Do what I am doing now. Start a blog, a website, or just an online journal. Something you are passionate about. It may not make you a millionare (or may!). But it can be a good distruction.
- Meditate, pray, or practice mindfullness.
- Read books you’ve always wanted to read but never have time to do so.
- Exercise. Besides keeping you healthy and fit, regular exercise increases “happiness” hormons level and provide an oxygen to your brain. It is also improves your memory. Even as little as 30 minutes a day of a walk or jugging will make a difference.
- Watch and rewatch your favorite movies.
- Reorganize your closet. Steal Try on all of your cloths in all possible variations. Even if you think it would look ridiculous. I have recently discovered a few very trendy looks in on shelf. I found my bell-botoms from the 2000. They are in again. And I feel enviorement-friendly.
